Amber DiDomenico
Hi, my name is Amber DiDomenico and I’m a senior at Barrington High School! I’ve been a student ambassador with BYFS for 2 years. I initially joined the Barrington Youth Family Services group to learn more about mental health, especially in my age group, and to be able to share tips and ways to improve lifestyle to my friends and peers. I’ve learned how important promoting mental health is, and love how we all hold the ability to break the stigma around talking about it. I’m excited for this upcoming year with my other student ambassadors!

There are countless resources available for mental health, and I feel honored to be a part of this journey and making an impact.

Hi my name is Hadley Newman! I am a junior at Barrington High School and this is my second year being a part of BYFS! I initially joined BYFS because of the message that is being spread to break the stigma surrounding the talk of mental health. Being in this club has been a super great experience working with a great team of other students who are also passionate on the same topic. To me mental health is a super important topic to talk about because making the conversation larger breaks the stigma, encourages people to get support, and helps people get care they need for a happier future!

During the past year I have learned about the importance of the topic of mental health and how to use resources that we have available. I love being able to help others in my age group by making the topic of mental health easier to talk about. Gavin Sepe
My name is Gavin Sepe and this is my 2nd year now being a part of BYFS! I’m a junior and a leader in the club this year, serving as a vice chair and helping manage communications as well. I first joined BYFS thinking I would learn more about mental health and how I could help others. Within the past 15 months I’ve learned a lot about myself and how I can help impact others around me to better themselves. Mental health is a serious topic and isn’t something to mess around with. It’s more than just two words. I’m excited to be back and ready for this upcoming year with BYFS!
